Quick Guide to Kick Start Team Building for a Project
Regina Maniam, August 21, 2007
Not Rated
Effective Team Building starts right at the beginning of a project. Get your initial foundational activities done well and you will be off to a great start.
ARTICLE
Team building is key to businesses in delivering profitability and customer satisfaction. Strange as you may think, I believe it is also key to employee satisfaction.
A team is made up of a number of people charged with doing a specific piece of work. The team is put together primarily based on the skills required as defined for the project. In the fast moving environment that we live in, the extent to which team members can work together is hardly given any consideration. It also does not seem practical anyway.

What Makes A Poor Boss?
blueboy, August 15, 2007

I have been employed by a number of different companies and have therefore had a number of different bosses. In this article I will be writing about what, in my opinion, constitutes a poor boss. I am hoping that by doing this it will actually help other people who are in management to improve.
My last boss was a quirky character. He had a real lack of care towards his employees and the staff turnover, for the department he was in charge of, was extremely high. I often wondered why people who were above him never stepped in to question this as it can not have looked good for the company as a whole.

Making Outsourcing Work For You.
Chris D Anderson, August 14, 2007

When selecting an outsourcing provider, a company should check the potential providers suitability as a partner in respect of its development plans. The outsourcing supplier needs to understand the company’s long-term goals and the manner in which the outsourcing services offered could fit in with the already existing business development plan.
In this respect you need to initially focus on the partnership that you are going to form with your supplier. Indeed, once you have signed the contract, your outsourcing supplier will become your partner. Because of this, you need to find a way to verify whether the provider is, or is not, likely to be able to deal successfully with the potential changes and development that your organization will undoubtedly undergo.

The perfect company bash can be the ideal way to break the ice for those attending, and help to allay any fears that most people have when going to a work party. If your staff show up and are immediately immersed in what you have created whether it be a day at the beach, a group visit to a ball game or a pool tournament at the local bar, if it's fun they will begin to gravitate to the focal point of your theme. Do something that allows them to be with one another but in a different way than they have to everyday.

Managing Your Boss - Taking the Initiaitve
Martin Haworth, August 10, 2007

Building relationships is vital in business. When you are employed and have a boss it's even more critical, because you have an incentive to get the best from your boss - and the onus is on you.
For bosses, try on this as a set of expectations your people have from you.
You are limited in how much control you can have in the employed world. Much is passed down to you and this can feel frustrating because you feel 'done to'; without any input in how your experience, day-by-day, goes for you.

Business banking is big business and there are a lot of banks and building societies vying to sign up business owners for their latest deals. There are a number of solutions for business owners looking to manage cash flow effectively. Here are a few options to consider.
Business Debit Card
A business debit card works just like a regular debit card. You normally get one with a business current account, and the debit card is an easy way to replace a chequebook. A business debit card is used to pay for items and the money comes straight out of the business account. The only people who can use the debit card are signatories to the account. With a business debit card, a business owner can only spend the money that is in the account, unless the account also has an overdraft facility.
